During Día de Muertos, the day of the dead, Mexican towns and cities fill the streets and homes with a sea of unmistakable flavors, colors, aromas, music and memories. An all-encompassing atmosphere that leaves an indelible mark on a person's memory that any of us could recognize when we close our eyes.
In a five-year journey that showcases the most distinctive aspects of Día de Muertos (tastes, aromas, colors, music and memories), the first tequila, Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Sabores, is presented, a tribute to the flavors and the memories they evoke. Master distiller Viridiana Tinoco has created a 14-month aged Añejo tequila inspired by traditional Day of the Dead flavors such as bread of the dead, champurrado, rice pudding. The unique illustration on the decanter depicts Catrinas, elegantly dressed skeletons and one of the main icons of this festival. Its front features a handmade gold-plated ornament depicting three skulls and the bread of the dead, symbolizing culinary traditions.
Clase Azul is one of the most artistic tequila producers, showing great respect for the Mexican cultural heritage. Although it is one of the most expensive tequilas on the market, that's because they make more than just tequila, they also make art that reflects the hearts and souls of the people of the Jalisco region. The ceramic bottle-decanter is a unique handmade icon.
