A perfectly balanced, aged mezcal with a very mild smokiness. Made by combining two species of sustainable agave: Espadin (Angustifolia) from the state of Oaxaca and Tobala (Potatorum) from Puebla. Agaves are grown from fertilized naturally grown seeds, creating a sustainable, earth-friendly product. Mezcal is produced using traditional rural methods: agaves are roasted in conical, stone-lined and wood-burning pits, then crushed with a stone tahona, and natural fermentation with wild yeast takes place in wooden tanks. Distilled twice in copper stills. Aged for 5-6 months in white oak barrels.
Aromas: vanilla, roasted agave, woody and smoky background notes, citrus fruits, caramel, field herbs, brown sugar.
Taste: smooth, sweet, caramel, roasted agave, dried fruits and herbs, earthy notes, nuts, vanilla.
Aftertaste: mild with herbal notes.
We recommend it for light sipping, snacking on orange with agave caterpillar salt, with sheep's cheese, dates or almonds, and in making special cocktails.
