This wonderfully bold mezcal comes from one of the most undiscovered territories. Maestro mezcalero Cuauhtémoc Jaquez presents a special ensemble of 3 different agaves: Funkiana and Univittata, typical of the Tamaulipas region, together with Americana. The result is a sweet, dry and energy-rich distillate with many layers of flavor and aroma.
The agaves are roasted in stone pits in the ground using black oak. Agaves are crushed in a mechanical mill and fermented naturally under the open sky in steel tanks. Mezcal is double distilled in a copper pot still. Before the final bottling, the mezcal is poured into large glass bottles to rest for 60 days.
Aromas: Pleasant peppery sensations with notes of mustard, curry and horseradish mixed with pickled carrots, leather, green pepper and sweet orange marmalade.
Palate: Similar to the aromas, very vegetal and more flavors that all come together to create a perfectly balanced uniquely fresh, crisp and fatty taste.
Aftertaste: very interesting, smoky salt with a hint of blue cheese.

Mendoza, decided to showcase the incredible biodiversity of the Mexican land in the form of Mezcal, and thus Mezcal Derrumbes was born, with only small village distillers from different states in its range.
