Aged, premium quality 100% agave tequila from the highlands of Jalisco. This unique tequila is a blend of two distilleries.
'Casa Siete Leguas' is one of the most respected and popular tequila producers in the world, producing tequila in two distilleries on a hill in the town of Atotonilco, where fertile red clay soil dominates. In the old distillery ' Fabrica el Centenario' agaves are roasted in brick ovens and crushed with a stone tahona, pulled by mules - the only place where this is still done! Fermentation with agave fibers takes place in steel tanks with wild yeast, and double distillation - in copper pots. In the 'Fabrica La Vencedora' distillery agave is roasted in brick ovens, crushed with modern roller mills, fermentation - in steel tanks without fibers. Distillation is done twice in copper pots.
The aging process takes place in American white oak barrels that were previously used to make bourbon. The process lasts for 8 months.
Aromas: rich agave aroma, light notes of herbs and citrus fruits, sweet shades of ripe pears, bananas and flowers, soft vanilla, light touches of dried fruits, raisins, nuts and reflections of wood.
Taste: warm and silky, slightly dry but refreshing, cooked agave combines with fresh notes of herbs (mint, chamomile) and citrus fruits, merging with sweetly light tones of wood, caramel, vanilla and dried plums and raisins.
Aftertaste: a long-lasting mosaic of flavors with tingling black pepper, fruity sweetness, wood, caramel and vanilla.
