A unique and colorful expression of unaged tequila! 'Curado' is an innovative product, full of subtle nuances, variety of flavors and continuing to respect Mexican traditions and culture. Perhaps the oldest form of alcohol in Mexico is pulque, a fermented agave drink that has been part of Mexican tradition and culture for over 1,000 years. Often infused with natural flavors such as fresh fruit, coffee beans, etc., Pulque is called 'Curado'. This is the inspiration behind Curado Tequila, creating a completely new type of product.
For the production of 'Curado', the highest quality, double-distilled in copper vessels, unaged tequila from the highlands of Jalisco is used. La Alteña distillery comes from the state of Arandas with pre-ripened blue agaves. So the production process is as follows: cotton bags with fried blue agave are placed in tequila containers and soaked for at least 5 days, and then filtered. This tequila is not aged and the color comes from the infusion.
The decoration of the bottle reflects the region where the blue agave was harvested, and this winged badger from the world of mythical creatures symbolizes the state of Arandas.
Aromas: bright tones, ripe oranges, citrus peels and warm spices.
Taste: Black pepper, vanilla, brine, tropical and citrus fruits, rich caramelized agave and traces of smoke.
Aftertaste: spicy, warm.
