The unique 'Nocheluna' sotol was born in the wild area of the Chihuahuan Desert, where the growing Sotol plants are very strong and resistant to adverse weather conditions, so they intensively absorb nutrients from the ground and embody exceptional and strong layers of flavors. Every sip of this sotol reveals mineral freshness and light sweetness, balanced by herbal tones and notes of dried fruit, mint and cocoa.

This sotolo is made by fourth generation maestro sotolero Don Eduardo Arrieta together with Ricardo Pico and Iván Saldaña from 'Casa Lumbre'. The face of the brand is American singer and songwriter Lenny Kravitz.

Sustainably managed wild harvest is harvested after 12-15 years of growth. Next, the plants are roasted in an underground pit lined with river stones; crushed with a mechanical chopper and naturally fermented for 5-10 days. Finally, it is double-distilled in copper pot stills fired by direct fire.

Aromas: complex balance of wild herbs, spearmint, dried fruit, caramel and honey, deep minerality and burnt oak notes.
Palate: Soft and sweet first impression with fruity and herbal notes, followed by notes of smoke, soy, honey, anise and caramel.
Aftertaste: long, sweet-moist, earthy with subtle woody notes.

We recommend drinking it as a snack with an apple slice sprinkled with cinnamon or mixing it for special cocktails . For dessert, sotoli is perfect with a candied grapefruit slice.

Sotoli is a traditional drink of the states of Chihuahua, Durango and Coahuila in Mexico, made from the so-called 'Desert sponge' plant, which is not an agave, but has similar properties and belongs to the same plant family Asparagaceae. The name Sotol comes from the Nahuatl word "Tzotolin" which means "palm". Sotoli production is an art that requires great knowledge. Sotolis has been protected by designation of origin since 2002.
