This wonderfully expressive wild agave raisin is a personal hand-crafted recipe of Maestro Don Gerardo. With hints of lime, green notes and a distinctive taste - you will never regret trying this distillate of freshness and vitality. Its annual production is very low due to the limited supply of agaves.
It is made from Maximiliana agaves that have ripened in the highlands for at least 9 years. These tall agaves have a high sugar content and a unique taste. The agaves are roasted for 5 days in an adobe-style oven with black oak wood, then crushed by hand with wooden mallets and fermented in large oak tanks with wild yeast. For distillation, Gerardo does not use copper stills, instead opting for stainless steel stills to impart a steely minerality over the two distillations.

Aroma: Bright candy-like sweetness with a filling of ripe peaches, plums, herbs and wet stone.
Palate: abundant fruit notes, plums, fresh mint, lemon and orange peels, floral water, and all covered in light smoke with light acidity.


This distillate is produced by Maestro Don Gerardo Peña, known as El Lobo de la Sierra. We suggest trying another special Maestros High Proof raisin created by him - La Venenosa Puntas Raicilla.
