A wonderfully pleasant aroma and rich and balanced taste, wild agave mescal with bright hints of flowers, fresh grass, vegetables.
The producer is one of Oaxaca's most iconic maestra mezcalera Berta Vasquez, based in San Baltazar Chichicapam. The old traditional methods are used in the production process: ripe (10-12 years) agaves are baked in underground pits lined with stones and fired with wood, then crushed with stone rollers, and fermentation takes place naturally in open wooden containers with wild yeast. Distilled twice in copper stills.
Aromas: fresh herbs, flowers, anise, black pepper, noticeable nuances of vegetables, coriander, citrus peel.
Taste: An intense herbal profile with notes of wildflowers, earth and clay, sun-dried tomatoes, dry grass, tobacco leaves and smoke.
Aftertaste: long, rich.
We recommend enjoying it on its own, with a slice of orange, lime seasoned with seasoned salt, or in combination with food.
