A special mezcal made by traditional artisans from the state of Puebla. El Occidental Mezcal Puebla uses only organic agave of the 'Potatorum' variety and traditional production methods: agaves are roasted for 3 days in pits in the ground, then crushed with a mechanical mill; organic fermentation takes place outdoors in large wooden vats. Distilled twice in copper stills. The result is a soft floral and woody aroma, a pleasantly warm and earthy taste with hints of tobacco, cocoa, leather, and a short aftertaste of fresh agave.
We recommend sipping on its own, with orange slices and caterpillar salt, or mixed into cocktails.
